Finding Wood-like Pieces Online.

Sometimes in small vintage or thrift stores, there is not enough space for a selection of larger furniture and even smaller furniture can be difficult to stock for shop proprietors where space is limited. When looking for a uniquely styled small table or desk never discount the websites or social media pages that advertise secondhand goods or even the old-fashioned garage sale or flea market. Buying directly from a prior owner sometimes has the advantages of learning a story behind a piece or at least noticing that your “new” item has been cared for. While it is recommended that you never shop alone in these venues as safety could be a concern (we all know the precautions that should be taken when shopping online or doing business with a stranger), I have found that for the most part those selling goods online are simply seeking a way to cut out the middleman while searching for a new “home” for their cherished piece. This week’s petite dining table and bamboo-style desk are treasures I have found while shopping a second-hand website and I found the process seamless while taking all necessary safety precautions. Both the dining table and desk seem to be “at home” in their new home, my home, and I admire their style and function.
